At the Cottages

Although our Holiday Cottages are period properties and we are therefore restricted in what can reasonably be done to make them truly ‘Accessible’, we have given a lot of thought to how we can make it as easy as possible for people with more moderate mobility difficulties.

Two of our Holiday Cottage are single-storey, with no stairs or steps and the floors are level throughout once inside the cottages.  They also have showers, over baths which have sides lower than normal, and grab-rails are fitted either to the sides of the bath or to the wall adjacent to the bath. In addition, all carpets/rugs/mats are short-pile to minimise tripping.

Unfortunately, our cottages are not suitable for wheelchairs.

 

 

Getting out and about

The Public Transport services locally are very good, and Mini Cabs are very reasonably priced for short local journeys.  Some of the larger towns (such as Ipswich, Felixstowe and Lowestoft) and major attractions offer Mobility Scooter Hire.
